Welcome to PrintBridge, operated by Digital Apex. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PrintBridge handles data when you use our mobile application.

PrintBridge is a single-purpose Bluetooth printing utility that receives print jobs from authorized business applications and sends them to a paired thermal printer. The app is intended for internal business use only.

2. Permissions & Data Collection

PrintBridge requests only the permissions necessary to perform Bluetooth printing. We do not collect personal data.

Bluetooth (Android & iOS)

• Purpose: To discover, pair, and communicate with Bluetooth thermal printers on your local device.
• Data Handling: Bluetooth communication occurs entirely on-device. No Bluetooth data, device identifiers, or printer information is transmitted to external servers.
• Android permissions used: BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (required by Android OS for BLE scanning only).
• iOS: Bluetooth access is governed by NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription.

Location (Android only)

• Purpose: Android requires location permission to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. PrintBridge does not use, record, or transmit your location.
• Data Handling: Location data is never accessed, stored, or shared.

3. Print Job Data

PrintBridge receives receipt data (such as store name, item names, prices, and totals) via a secure URL scheme (printbridge://) from your organization's business application running on the same device.

• Print job data is used solely to format and send the receipt to the printer.
• Print job data is not stored after the print job completes.
• Print job data is not transmitted to any external server or third party.
• No print history is retained by the app.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

PrintBridge does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports to third-party services
• Advertising identifiers
• Location data
• Any data to external servers

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any data with third parties. PrintBridge operates entirely on-device and makes no external network connections during normal operation.

6. Data Storage

The only data stored locally on your device by PrintBridge is:

• Paired printer identifier (Bluetooth MAC address on Android, device UUID on iOS)
• Printer settings (paper width, character encoding)

This data is stored using the device's secure local storage and is never transmitted externally. It can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.

PrintBridge is designed with a minimal attack surface. All communication between the app and the printer is local Bluetooth communication. No internet connection is required or used for printing. We implement industry-standard practices to ensure the app does not expose device data.

PrintBridge is a business utility application not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
